Executive Director Appointment (posted on October 20, 2022)

The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Alariss Schmid as SWESA’s Executive Director.

In addition to holding an Applied Bachelor of Human Service Administration degree, Alariss has many years of managerial and administration experience working in the social service sector. Prior to joining SWESA, she was the Regional Lead with the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories-Southeastern Alberta. In the short time that Alariss has been employed with SWESA, she has been instrumental in spearheading many initiatives that support a member-centred, equitable approach to senior services and programs. As Executive Director, Alariss will be responsible for driving SWESA’s vision, mission and strategy as well as overseeing operations. We’re excited to officially welcome Alariss to this new role and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.

SWESA Members on Global Edmonton TV News (posted on September 2, 2021)
