High Level Bridge lights up to celebrate SWESA! (posted on June 17, 2022)

On June 29th, at sunset, the High Level bridge will light up in SWESA colors of red and white – to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. While we hope to have a formal photo taken of the bridge, we would LOVE to have some candid photos of SWESA members with the bridge lights in the background.  The Communications and Marketing Committee (CAM) is inviting members to take photos and enter in to win a small prize.  Submit photos to info@swesa.ca.  Photographer’s hint: try using a flash so your faces show well.

Seniors Home Supports Program Fundraiser (posted on March 23, 2022)

We are excited to share with you the link to a fundraiser recently launched on the government of Alberta crowdfunding platform. They have a goal to raise $5,000 to top up the snow removal subsidy pot for low-income seniors who access the Seniors Home Supports Program. This will directly benefit seniors in southwest Edmonton who need this support next winter. If they can raise 75% of the goal within 4 weeks, the government will give them $1,250 and even better, if they reach the full goal in 4 weeks they will receive $2,500 from the government. Please help us to spread the word about this campaign. https://give.crowdfunding.alberta.ca/01xsaf?ref=ab_7B6mj8_ab_8FAkFDAU8278FAkFDAU827
